The conference "Food for the 21th century: How EU research impacts on Food quality and safety"
organised by DG Research took place on the 8 July 2010 at the European Parliament in Brussels.
After an introduction by Maive Rute (Directorate E 'Biotechnologies, Agriculture, Food' at DG Research), IDEA Consult delivered a presentation of the results of the study “Assessing the overall impact of Priority 5 - Food Quality
and Safety - under FP6”. Daniele Rossi (vice chairman of the ETP Food For Life) presented the views from the food industry. Eric Poudelet, (Directorate E 'Safety of the food chain' at DG SANCO) ended the conference by providing an overview of future research priorities.
The results of eight FP6 projects have been presented:
